So easy to schedule, available fast, did my job quickly, seemed really affordable. Will definitely use them again! I'm so disappointed In Summit Electrical Group. Exactly a month ago I hired. Summit Electrical to install a vintage chandelier for me and I was super happy with the work that was done and their rates.Now I have another job that requires the skills of an electrician so naturally I thought of Summit. Over the past couple weeks I have left three voicemails asking them to install a new chandelier. I didn't receive any return phone calls. I sent two or three text messages and those were ignored as well.On the Yelp page it indicates that their response time is twenty minutes. I am not sure why I am getting the silent treatment, but I don't appreciate it. My advice to you, if you're looking for a reliable electrician, look past Summit Electrical.2024 - Review #2 I bought the most gorgeous vintage chandelier on Etsy about a month ago. As I do with any project or repair need I put feelers out on Yelp and as usual, I received several responses. Some seemed too expensive, some told me my job was too small for them to get out of bed for, but Summit was a perfect match. We had a slight scheduling glitch but I wasn't in a huge rush and the install was only postponed for one day.I was super excited on install day. I finally opened the box that morning and saw the precious for the first time. It was all I hoped for and more. I couldn't figure out which end was up and if it took standard light bulbs or not. Clearly, I'm not very clever. Finally, I buzzed the electrician in. He was right on time. His name is Jeremiah and he is a friendly fellow who got straight to inspecting the chandelier and made some remarks about this being a pretty straightforward job. I was happy to hear that. The chandelier was up and I was agog. He was able to reattach my orphan icicle crystal which pleased me immensely. The install went off without a hitch.It came time to pay up and I was surprised at the total. It was less than I expected. Then I was mortified, my debit card was declined. I had checked my balance earlier in the day. I had over $800.00 in my account. At the time to pay, I was overdrawn by $800.00. Turns out my mortgage company, "shoutout Shellpoint" reached into my account and took a mortgage payment, actually, not even the amount of my payment, more, and not on the first of March.They gave it back. Jeremiah was totally cool about it. He set a reminder on his phone to call me on payday but he never called. I called him. He seemed surprised and said he thought he would have forgotten about it. I happily paid him.I have another project in mind for him. Putting the fixture he took down in the living room and putting it in the breakfast nook and fixing the faulty wiring that keeps blowing light bulbs.2024 - Review #2PS...Jeremiah is easy on the eyes Excellent service! Happy to have Jeremiah installed EV charger. Highly recommended !! I had a 240V outlet install in my garage for a Tesla mobile charger. Jeremiah was pretty knowledgeable on the subject and was quick to respond to my questions. He used a 6 gauge wire which also helps to future proof the outlet in case I decide to upgrade to a faster charger that can handle up to 50A. He also helped to install a wall mount bracket for my charger! The total visit took less than 1hr (would have been shorter if we weren't chatting). Out of the 13 companies I requested quotes from, he provided the best price by FAR. $250 for everything as long as the outlet was within 6ft of the panel. Paid with card. Very happy with the work. The next lowest quote I got was from Bear Electric for $650, but they were booked 2 weeks out. Super efficient with the install of a EV receptacle was done within an hr. Would work with again. Thank you! I was in search of an electrician and submitted a request for a quote from a business that seemed to have good reviews on Yelp. Yelp has a service that offers to send out additional quotes to approved, recommended businesses offering the same service that includes a Yelp sponsored guarantee. Having had good results from this Yelp service in the past I said sure. This was fortunate since the business I intended on hiring turned out to be a bust. Separate review on that was posted previously.I wrote a very detailed scope of work on my quote request and was clear that I wanted someone to come out to look over the job site and specifications and to give a firm bid on the project.Jeremiah responded quickly with a quote but was very vague on what would actually be done. I asked for two 20A circuits to be run from the breaker panel to two, 2-gang outlets that would be about 10 feet away. He quoted a price for one 30A circuit and an up-charge if conduit would be required. I previously stated that these would be GGI circuits in a garage so running the wire through a conduit was assumed.So to move this project forward I invited Jeremiah to come out at his convenience to look over the job. That was quiet some time ago. Crickets.There are several other Yelp reviews complaining that Jeremiah has gone MIA and has ghosted them for no apparent reason. Since responding to his initial quote he has done the same to me. My advice to my fellow Yelpers is that great caution would be advised if you are thinking of engaging this fellow to do work for you. He comes off as very unreliable and unresponsive.I have no idea what Yelp's vetting process is to get on the recommended list for folks wanting quotes but my assessment is that Summit should be removed from that list. As I said, Yelp usually comes through for me when it comes to soliciting bids from contractors so this experience has been disappointing. YMMV. I requested a bid for installation of an under the counter 120 V AC receptacle with a line back to our breaker box. I spoke with Jeremiah few times and forwarded several photos to him. We came to agreement on a price and a date. He said he would call me to let me know when he would arrive on the appointed day. He never called or showed up. I attempted to contact him by email and phone, but never received a response from anyone at Summit Electrical. If I could give him zero stars I would. Jeremiah did a great job. He was on time and also the price is cheaper compared to others. He let me watch him while he installed my Tesla charger and he was fun to talk with. Highly recommended, will definitely contact him again for future electrical needs. My experience was great. It was last minute but he was fast, courteous, clean, better price than everyone else I asked, and helped with an unrelated issues without question. his professionalism and attention to detail were very apparent in his work. I would highly recommend Summit Electrical Group to anyone and everyone! Great job done by Jeremiah, he was friendly, efficient and on time. Explained everything step by step very thoroughly and did an amazing job at troubleshooting.Very quick at checking the possible root causes and resolving the issue. Price was as communicated in the beginning and overall a very smooth process!
