The team at PUSH San Diego has expertise in helping women achieve balance and wellness throughout every stage of preconception, pregnancy and postpartum. They provide compassionate in-office care but can also travel to patients' homes, birth centers, or hospital rooms. The team regularly works with couples, including LGBTQ folks, who are experiencing difficulty getting or staying pregnant. PUSH San Diego offers a dynamic menu of services, including Tui Na massage, navel cupping, and smokeless moxibustion, and pelvic steaming to name a few. We utilize EarSeeds® for fertility, pain, natural promotion of labor, and many other conditions. We sell New Mama EarsSeed kits that are great for the end of pregnancy and the postpartum period. Patients can also select from a variety of premium doTERRA® essential oils during their services. At PUSH we take a holistic approach to supporting our patients and provide lifestyle guidance, individualized herbal prescriptions and referrals to trusted community providers to ensure each client feels supported by a team, empowered and are fully informed participant in their wellbeing. History Established in 2000. PUSH San Diego was established in 2000 by Dr. Deb Davies, DACM, L.Ac. Through her personal journey with pregnancy loss and experiencing the joy of motherhood, Deb was called to learn as much as she could about supporting women through both the joys and hardships that many women experience on their path to motherhood. After graduating from Pacific College of San Diego, Deb continued her studies by mentoring with several of the top Acupuncturists in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Deb founded PUSH San Diego with the intention of bringing the vast scope of her training and experience under one roof to educate and empower expectant couples to have safe & healthy pregnancies, deliveries, and recoveries while providing natural options in health care. Through her own experiences she has developed a profound empathy and understanding helping numerous women with miscarriage support and instilling hope and confidence in those with recurrent pregnancy losses. Deb mentored Alisa Galvan. Meet the Business Owner Business owner information Alisa G. Business Owner Alisa Galvan is a licensed acupuncturist, practitioner of Chinese medicine specializing in women's health and internationally board certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). She is also the mother of 2 daughters. Alisa was mentored and selected by our founder, Dr. Deb Davies, to take over the ownership and maintenance of PUSH San Diego in 2022. Alisa graduated with a BS in Nutrition from SDSU in 2001 and has been supporting families since then working at both Sharp then Scripps health systems in nutrition and lactation. Her service in the Peace Corps (Bolivia 2003-2005) provided invaluable perspective into importance of traditional and community medicine. Alisa graduated with her Masters in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 2013 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and she has focused her continued training in supporting women and families. She became an IBCLC in 2017 which has enhanced her specialization in supporting the postpartum time.
