The general inspection takes 2-3 hours for homes and longer for estates, multi-family or commercial properties. This is a visual inspection of the five main systems and their components, the interior, and immediate exterior & grounds, plus parking area. Only what is accessible & visible during the inspection is included. All utilities must be on. The general reports always recommend specific inspections to be performed as well: sewer line, mold, chimney, termite, and any other areas of concern. Read your inspection reports. It is routine to have recommendations for further evaluation by contractors for specific system issues or suspected issues. This is part of a client's due diligence for options and estimates as well, so follow all recommendations.
