m the business Specialties Gilmans Kitchens and Baths is a design build company offering semi-custom to full custom cabinetry services to homeowners, contractors, and independent designers. We have been in business for 28 years are proud to serve the San Francisco Bay Area. We have 4 locations located in San Francisco, San Rafael, San Mateo, and Mountain View, each one offering a beautiful showroom to showcase our work. History Established in 1954. In 1983 I purchased Gilman Screens from Dick Gilman in San Francisco. My prior experience was in the cabinet business so in 1984 I got a larger location and added some kitchen cabinet displays. Business was so good that I hired my first employee in the middle of 1984. We changed the name of the company to Gilman Screens and Kitchens. In 1992 we added the Foster City store and over the next few years we added the stores in Mountain View, Burlingame and San Rafael. In 2009 we changed the name of the company to Gilmans Kitchens and Baths to reflect that we now do full service remodeling for all of your kitchen, bath and other room needs. If you have your own contractor we still can design and sell the cabinets and counter tops to you. We still have a very active window and door screen department to service the San Francisco to Foster City area. I have run this company for 27 years and plan on being around much longer. My son entered the company in 2008 and has made it his career. Meet the Business Owner Business owner information Larry L. Business Owner I have been in the kitchen and bath business for close to 35 years and owned Gilmans for 29 years. I try to make all of our customers happy and am successful most of the time. I feel great when I receive a letter complimenting any one of my staff on a job well done. When we do have a complaint, I hope it can be solved the happiness of the customer. I have been in retail all of my life, in fact, I was born and raised here in San Francisco and have many friends here and on the Peninsula. I am an active member of the Foster City Rotary club, president in 2007-2008. In 2009. I was named business person of the year with the SEN Design Group in 2010.
