Floortex Design has been serving the greater bay area since 1987. Initially owned by Abbey Carpet, we were part of a high end rug and carpet chain. Floortex design was later passed on to new ownership who removed themselves from the Abbey carpet chain so he could change the business to his liking and add in a laminate, hardwood, and linoleum division to the business. With great knowledge and experience, Floortex Design remains one of the highest end and most cost effective flooring stores in the area. Meet the Business Owner Business owner information Rudy H. Business Owner Rudy Hassid has been working in the flooring and interiors industry since 1989, first as a flooring contractor specializing in custom hardwood floors. In 2008, Rudy purchased Floortex Design of Corte Madera. He soon transformed that simple store into a destination, boutique showroom, where designers and homeowners alike could find the finest hardwood, wool and synthetic rugs, unique collections and expert craftsmen, all in one place. In the years that followed, Rudy purchased other showrooms throughout the Bay Area and N. California. All of them boutique stores, run by seasoned professionals. And all offering the same end-to-end service and professionalism that Rudy and the Floortex Design family has come to be known for. Today, Floortex Design has eight showrooms across the Bay Area and parts of Northern California. Although, Rudy continues to run things today, none of this would be possible without our people. They are Floortex Design.
