Julie Hopkins, photographer and owner of Camera Creations Photography, has been photographing people, places and things since 1997. She officiailly establish C.C. in January of 2005. Julie specializes in wedding, portrait, dance and event photography. Her background includes an international career as a professional ballet dancer, a B.A. degree from Loyola Marymount University (major in art history), a certificate in photography from Santa Monica College, and several years as a fine art gallery administrator. Her photography is published in Vogue, Dance Magazine, Pointe magazine and Backstage West, and she exhibits her dance imagery at local shows. Julie is a member in good standing of Portrait Photographers of America, Toastmasters, Step Up Women's Organization, Ebell of Los Angeles and Worthwhile Referral Sources. Meet the Business Owner Business owner information Julie H. Business Owner Julie Hopkins was born in Brooklyn, New York to a multi-ethnic family. Her upbringing was divided between winters in New York and summers in Puerto Rico. This developed her appreciation for cultural variances and prepared Julie for an international career as a ballet dancer later in life. Julie lived abroad in Switzerland, France and Germany while dancing and finally settled back in the USA after retirement from the stage. After acquiring a BA in Art History from Loyola Marymount University and working in art galleries for several years Julie fell in love with photography and now has a successful photography business, Camera Creations LLC, where she specializes in portraiture, dance, weddings, events and pet photography.
